In my observation, mostly since the time of COVID, it seems that many of us (myself included) rely less on common sense and more on emotion when it comes to conversations and reactions.
Five days ago I built a tool mostly for myself and I'm going to share it with you. I call it the Common Sense Prompt.
What it has done for me and hopefully will for you, is take any conversation from the theory or the conspiracy or the opinionated level and bring it back to some common sense. It will create for you fantastic comeback questions that will ground your conversations.
I've been using it now for most everything I write and I'd like to share it with you, Try out the Common Sense Prompt.

My cell phone bill recently got hit with an increase. I used a Common Sense Prompt to create this reply. I doubt it will persuade them to change their mind but it felt good sending the response back.
It seems like you’re framing this as “costs went up,” but I’m experiencing the opposite of improvement. I respect that you’re trying to pay for results, not excuses. Your monthly rate is set to rise from $48.50 to $52.50 in 2026 (approx 8%), and my internet is cutting out for 45 seconds to 2 minutes at a time, plus I can walk away because I’m not under contract. What’s the path to keeping my business if the price goes up while reliability goes down?
